PhD candidate Christian Kehl receives research poster award at International Supercomputing Conference 2012

Christian Kehl represented the Graphics Group at International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) 2012. ISC is one of the biggest conferences for High-Performance Computing, Grid-Computing and Large-Scale Computations. ISC’12 was held June 1721 at the Congress Center Hamburg.

At the conference Christian Kehl presented a poster on a new project on Interactive Simulation and Visualization of Large-Scale flooding scenarios, placed in the Large-Scale Simulation section. A total of 21 research posters were handed in. The award for best research paper was handed over by Stephan Olbrich, University of Hamburg (Germany). Of particular interest for committee was the massive extent of used data sets and the plan for in-situ simulation and combined visualization.
